International Award winner David Wright has always had a passion for photography. Now specialising in wedding, portrait and commercial assignments, David sought international expertise, relocating to Japan for over 8 years to learn from the world leaders in digital photography.

As well as having a peerless reputation for appreciating beauty and excellence in design and art, the Japanese are the pioneers and entrepreneurs of digital image technology – capturing exquisite images and then reproducing them.

David’s dedication and quest for knowledge enabled him to prove that in capturing images this young Australian could match it with the best in the World. His images won major awards in 2005 and 2007, competing against thousands of entries from all over the world.

In Japan, David concentrated on Japanese landscapes and his stunning images have been reproduced in calendars and limited-edition prints. His work has been exhibited in Australia and throughout Japan, including the 2006 Design Festa in Tokyo.

David began his association with wedding photography over 12 years ago and he has continued to refine his ability to capture the essence of that special day through a unique combination of creativity, empathy and technical excellence.

"Every wedding is so special and unique," says David. "My role is to capture those special moments that mean so much and build a portfolio that is a timeless memento of the day, the people and the occasion."

"For me every wedding is different, and I aim to reflect that individuality by taking the time to get to know the couple and their needs, and photographing accordingly."
